BDF’s Capacity Increased In COVID-19 Fight

The Barbados Defence Force in its support to the national COVID-19 fight, received a donation of a Nissan Urvan from Courtesy Garage Limited. This donation will ably assist the BDF in its efforts to support the vaccination drive and patient collections. Chief of Staff, Commodore (Cdre) Errington Shurland, received the donation on behalf on the BDF.

During the presentation ceremony, Cdre Shurland mentioned that this donation gives testimony to the corporate and social-partnership needed to see the people of Barbados through this pandemic. He went on to state that, the vehicular asset will be placed into operational use immediately, to augment the logistical requirements in the management and maintenance of the public health threat.

Anthony Ali, Managing Director of Courtesy Garage, said that the company was proud to join the national effort in the fight against COVID-19. He went on to mention that this donation was successful through the support of partnering companies. They were, Hanschell Inniss Limited (Ltd), McBride Caribbean Ltd, Goddard Enterprises Ltd, HIPAC Ltd, Marshall Trading Ltd, Caribbean Label Crafts Ltd. Precision Packaging Incorporated, Goddard’s Catering Group, Ground Services, Purity Bakeries and Terrific Tiles.
