National Hurricane Exercise Phase 1

The Barbados Defence Force (BDF) in collaboration with the Department of Emergency Management (DEM) over the next 3 days will conduct the National Hurricane Exercise Tabletop Exercise at the Accra Beach Hotel and Spa.

Given the vulnerability of Barbados to natural and anthropogenic hazards, the exercise titled; Exercise Complex Trident is designed to detect and address the deficiencies in the National Emergency Management System’s (NEMS) plans, protocols and procedures.
