Barbados Cadet Corps Summer Success

The Barbados Cadet Corps successfully hosted the Caribbean Cadet Camp and Caribbean Cadet Commandants’ Conference this summer.
The Caribbean Cadet Camp aimed at providing an opportunity for regional and international officers and cadets attending the camp to practically apply their skills, while creating an environment for the building of camaraderie through challenging but enjoyable evolutions of training.
The Cadets engaged and trained in areas of safety of life at sea, rappelling, hiking, living in the field, orienteering, obstacle crossing, waterborne and adventurous training, range exercises and drill. the CCC 18 participants were also treated to a visit by Governor General of Barbados, Her Excellency, Dame Sandra Mason, GCMG, DA, QC, Crop Over festivities, tours and socials.
The CCC 18 contingents were; Anguilla, Antigua & Barbuda, Barbados Cadet Corps, Bermuda British Virgin Islands, Canada, Cayman Islands Cadet Corps, Dominica Cadet Corps, Grenada Cadet Corps, Jamaica Combined Cadet Force, Montserrat Cadet Corps, St. Kitts & Nevis Cadet Corps, St. Lucia Cadet Corps, St. Vincent & The Grenadines Cadet Force, Trinidad & Tobago Cadet Force, Turks & Caicos Islands Cadet Corps, United Kingdom Hove & Adur Sea Cadets Corps, United Kingdom Nottinghamshire Army Cadet Force, United Kingdom Suffolk Army Cadet Force and the United States of America.

The 31st Caribbean Cadet Association Commandants Conference, chaired by the BCC’s Commandant Lieutenant Colonel Errol Brathwaite, discussed matters primarily pertaining to the impact on youth leadership in the Caribbean Region.
The contingents were Anguilla Cadet Corps, Antigua and Barbuda Cadet Corps, Bermuda Cadet Corps, British Virgin Islands Cadet Corps, Cayman Islands Cadet Corps, Commonwealth of Dominica Cadet Corps, Grenada Cadet Corps, Guyana Cadet Corps, Jamaica Combined Cadet Force, Montserrat Cadet Corps, St Kitts and Nevis Cadet Corps, St Lucia Cadet Corps, St Vincent and The Grenadines Cadet Force, Trinidad and Tobago Cadet Force and the Turks and Caicos Islands Cadet Corps.
