Barbados Coast Guard Dive Training

The Barbados Defence Force (BDF) in collaboration with United States Military Liaison Office and the Southern Partnership Station Naval Dive Training Unit, are conducting a Dive and Explosive Ordnance Disposal Course at the HMBS PELICAN, Barbados Coast Guard, until 1 June 2019.

The eight members of the US Navy team led by Chief Warrant Officer Josh Slack and ten members of the Barbados Coast Guard led by Chief Petty Officer McAndrew Ottley are participating in the subject matter exchange. The training is aimed at delivering an improved working partnership, enhanced EOD salvage capacity and cohesive diving interoperability in Barbados as part of the Regional Security System.

Highlights
